Seven Months Later And We’re Back …
Goodness, we really have had a blogging break! We haven't posted for seven months, as we've had so many other things going on. Our intention has always been to get the remainder of our NZ trip posted, and then keep you up to date with our narrow boating travels. However ... We'd drafted the NZ … Continue reading Seven Months Later And We’re Back …
Day 76 – Third and Final Nantwich Trip
Due to the non-delivery of our planned Sainsbury’s grocery order on Saturday, we’ve ended up cruising to and from Nantwich three times in a week.
Day 74 – An Unexpected Return to Nantwich
Following yesterday’s Sainsbury’s failure, we had little choice but to return to Nantwich today. I'm appalled at their shocking customer service.
Day 65 – Blowing The Cobwebs Away
Our three miles or so walk into Nantwich yesterday was idyllic in many ways. Along the way, white fluffy stuff snowed down on us.
Day 56 – More Skip Treasures And A Grant
We had to move for water today, so chose to cruise to Nantwich as it’s closer than Calveley services. Plus we can have our daily exercise going shopping ...
Day 49 – More Essential Journeying
With two people aboard Areandare working online, Barry has to negotiate essential journeys around our scheduled calls. Today we had to get up early ...
Day 44 – Mayday Reflections

Day 35 – Enjoying A Change of Scenery on World Earth Day
Our planned overnight stay in Nantwich has evolved into a two-night change of scenery due to a couple of delays. It feels rather 'busy' on the embankment ...
Day 34 – Supporting Local Business
It's challenging to do a grocery shop when you live on a narrowboat and you're a long way from a supermarket. So a local off-licence delivery is perfect ...
Day 22 – A Mindful Meander To Morrisons
An essential journey today to fill our water tanks, and empty our loo. A walk to the supermarket in the spring sunshine brought many surprising delights ...
Day Ten – Connecting With Family
Today we moved from Nantwich - initially to fill up with water. Then to get away from the almost constant foot-traffic outside the boat ...
Day Seven – Such A Sense Of Stillness
It’s quite surreal isn’t it? This sense of stillness, and soothing sort of calm, that’s descended on the world? Here on the embankment in Nantwich we can look over the towpath, a few roads, paths and the Canal Centre. There’s hardly a soul in sight. An occasional car, van or lorry. Fewer people walking past … Continue reading Day Seven – Such A Sense Of Stillness
Barry’s Images from Stoke-on-Trent to Norbury way back in April
A little late, but some of Barry's images from our travels earlier in the year from Stoke on Trent to where to Norbury Junction.
