Here’s a few more images of the 211 year old Pontcysyllte Aqueduct to give you a better look at it.
This image has ended up as one of our gift cards
After crossing the aqueduct six times by boat in the space of a few days we’d become quite familiar with the structure.
The view from the aqueduct down to the River Dee below
On the opposite side of the aqueduct is the Anglo Welsh Hire Boat Company
Then heading further up the Llangollen Canal
Beautiful bridges and amazing scenery …
Even a castle type structure to greet you at Llangollen
Memories of a family holiday some years ago. Super photos.
Interesting to see your pics as we narrowboated the same area in 1999! Brings back memories! All the best with your adventures!
Thanks Marnie 😉
Wow, just wow!!
I never got the chance to go over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, I have to say it makes me feel queasy every time I look at pictures of it. Not sure how I would have coped in reality 🙂
Lol Alison, Sandra here, I totally hear you. I felt rather queasy on this trip too. In a way that’s good, it keeps us focussed 😉
