I’m Sorry!
Just couldn’t keep it down to 50 images so you have to put up with a few more …
After the Northampton festival we headed back towards the Birmingham area, which involved festivals at Netherton, then down to Huddlesford on the Coventry Canal and back up to Birmingham central for the RCTA Floating Market.
We did spend a bit of time in Birmingham, so I took the opportunity to get a few shots around the area.

From our mooring alongside the Barclaycard Arena (NIA) in Birmingham with the moon in full eclipse (as an aside, this image has won the ‘Favourite View’ of the month in January 2015 Waterways World)

Looking along Brindley Place in Birmingham towards ‘The Cube’ with Brewmaster’s Bridge in the foreground.

Looking along the end of the Birmingham and Worcester Canal through ‘Worcester Bar’ and Broad Street Tunnel.
Birmingham is such a wonderful place for canal related photography. There’s something different to shoot every time we visit.
Have a very merry Christmas everyone. We’re off visiting Sandra’s family from tomorrow until 30th December. During that time we’re travelling north to Malpas, then down to Lichfield, Brighton, Portsmouth, The Isle of Wight, Southampton, up to Ombersley and then back to Willington! Phew!
The full moon photo is stunning – no wonder it was a winner! Hope the festive season is going well. All good in Gizzy.
Cheers
Phil
Ah thanks Phil, it was such a wonderful morning watching it on my birthday which was very special.
Festive season has been filled with family times and a lot of travelling by road around England – more to come in a post soon.
I’m coming to Gissy soon with my mum, sadly Barry isn’t able to leave the business (neither can we afford for him to come too), so maybe we could meet up for a coffee sometime? Drop me an email and let’s see what we can work out 😉
Great Post. Merry Xmas
Thanks Mukul, and to you 😉
